Dorothy Ainslie Kane born 9-22-1890 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and d. 8-2-1977 in Akron, Ohio. She was the daughter of
Robert Ainslie Kane born in Donegal, Ireland August 12, 1856 and died in Milwaukee, WI March 8, 1917 and
Nina Lyon (Lyons) born in Wisconsin, 1865
She married Charles Henry Brook (b. 2-26-1883, d. 4-11-1957) on 2-19-1914 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In 1927, Charles and Dorothy were divorced. She later married Kenneth C. Macklin of Akron, Ohio. They had no children.
The only child of Charles Henry Brook and Dorothy Ainslie Kane was:
Dorothy also had an older sister, Hazel Kane (b. 1886).
An interesting sidelight was discovered regarding Robert Ainsley Kane:
SARAH JANE CANNING WALLACE. Born June 3 1833 at Malin
County Donegal, Ireland. Left Ireland for America,
June 17 1856 on the sailing ship Progress, being seven
weeks enroute. Married to WILLIAM WALLACE June 13 1857
in Philadelphia, by Reverend Robert Armstrong Died
Waukesha, Wisconsin Sept 10, 1923. Interred Prairie

Ireland Left Ireland late in 1856 for Australia. and
always lived there. George Canning, who went to New
Zealand, probably via Australia with John Canning.

Lillie Ann Canning, Kane Clarke. Born ..... and early
married to .... Kane to whom were born three children
xxxx in Ireland,ROBERT AINSLEY KANE, Thomas Kane, and
a girls who died in infancy. Came to America about
1861 and married John Clarke in LeRoy, Dodge Co.
Wisconsin. Died Feb 2, 1864, and interred in small
cemetery between Kekoske, and LeRoy Wisconsin. ROBERT
KANE born Ireland Aug 12 1856. Died
Mar 8 1917 at 645 Cass St Milwaukee, Wis, and interred
in Forest Home Cemetery there. Thomas Kane, born
1858(?)sic. Last heard of in Arkansas about 1903 or 4.
